If you want to lose weight sensibly, then you should consider losing weight slowly but consistently.  When we gain weight, it is usually slowly.  So why not think about losing 1lb per week.  It may seem slow but it will stay off longer.

What Does It Take To Lose 1lb in weight?

1lb in weight is the equivalent of 3,500 calories.  So in order to lose 1lb in 7 days you would need to use up at least 500 calories a day.  This can be done through a combination of reducing your daily calorie intake by 250 and doing some sort of physical activity to burn up 250 calories.

If you use this combination you will lose weight slowly but surely.

Ways To Lose Weight

Join a club in your area or online.  There are plenty of dieting clubs where you can get help and advice to lose weight in a healthy and sensible manner. Two popular slimming clubs are:

  • Weight Watchers
  • Slimming World
